Activities for the eve of Christmas in Bogotá

These are some of the most recommended activities to carry out in December and January in the city of Bogotá

One of the activities is the Ciclovía nocturna, which will take place on December 14, between 5:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. (seven hours total). You can travel 98 kilometers for the bicycle and nine Christmas stops that will have different presentations, which will be from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Another event is the Show of Crossing Lights (it is a year of the Festival of Lights of Lyon in 2016, which was a total success), carried out by Groupe F, a French company, which will be responsible for to present a great assembly of mapping, lighting and music, with fireworks and acrobatic art, where the flora and fauna of the country will stand out. This show will take place from December 16 to 23, at 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Some places in the city, such as San Victorino, went through beautification activities, which seek to improve the image of these spaces.

In Monserrate the space was illuminated by being inspired by the four elements, which are water, air, earth and fire. There will be discounts for parking at CityBus and there will also be some free circular routes.

The largest tree in the city is located in El Tunal Park, which has a size of almost 100 meters. Here there will be concerts (for over 14 years old) with incredible artists and groups such as Johann Sebastian, the 50s of Joselito and the Cantores de Chipuco.

On December 7 is celebrated the Day of the Velitas, and in the Simon Bolivar Metropolitan Park (in our town of Teusaquillo), will be presented to the general public from 6:00 pm, free of charge, a magic show, a show Christmas, a light ceremony and a fireworks display. The Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra will also be held in the Park Way (also present in our town of Teusaquillo) from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

From the 16th of December the Novenas will be the parks of the city. There will be prayers and choirs, live concerts and shows with gunpowder in eight of the parks (manipulated by professionals, of course).
