LGBT love and friendship in Colombia have a whole month of celebration
As the studies have said, Bogotá is one of the cities that most encourage multiculturalism, being baptized by UNESCO like one of the best 35 of all the world. Currently is a pioneer in the country for being the center of all cultural activities as they are the Book Fair, Rock to the Park, the Festival of Theater, etc.
Besides that throughout Colombia the diverse culture is valued equally, being a prosperous place for religious people (Catholics, Christians, Jews, etc.), for the people of the LGBT community (Colombia is one of the countries in the world that has many policies to protect the rights of this community), for the for tourists because the country offers many rights to people who have another nationality, etc.
And of course, what brings us together today is the theme of love and friendship, then, in Colombia, this date has a month of celebration (september, although specifically it is granted the third Saturday of this month), and not a single day that is overshadowed by many other festivities as is the case of the Valentine’s Day in February.
Adding the multiculturality of the city together with this very special time, we get miles of activities to do in community; being in a group of friends, couple or alone, because Bogotá is one of the best cities to meet people, both native and foreign.
Some activities to be carried out this year for the month of September take place from 19 to 23 in the VII Week for Equality.
